Thomas A. West
President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. West has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors since August 2022. Prior to joining Nalu, Mr. West served from 2019 to 2022 as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director at Intersect ENT, Inc., a publicly-traded medical device and drug delivery company. Intersect was acquired by Medtronic in May of 2022. Prior to Intersect, Mr. West served as Worldwide President, Diagnostic Solutions at Hologic from 2015 to 2019. Mr. West began his healthcare career at Johnson & Johnson where he assumed roles of increasing responsibility over a twenty-three year tenure including Worldwide President of Strategy and Business Development for the J&J Family of Diabetes Solutions Companies, Division President of LifeScan North America and Division President of LifeScan EMEA. Mr. West also currently serves as an independent member of the Board of Directors of Orthofix, a role he took on in 2021. Mr. West received a B.A. in Politics and Economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.

Jeff Swiecki
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Swiecki has served as our Chief Financial Officer since May 2020. Mr. Swiecki previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Vertiflex, Inc. from December 2006 to April 2020, as Finance Director & Americas Controller at Invitrogen Corporation from 2004 to 2006 and held various roles at Guidant Corporation from 1997 to 2004. Mr. Swiecki received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Masters of International Business from Pepperdine University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CA, inactive).

Sean Patrick
Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Patrick has served as our Chief Marketing Officer since January 2025. Mr. Patrick previously held executive and commercial leadership roles in both the medical and life sciences markets. Most recently he served as the CEO of Genesee Scientific, an LLR portfolio company in the research space. He was previously the Chief Marketing Officer for interventional pain company Vertiflex, acquired by Boston Scientific, and for the life sciences company Cole-Parmer, acquired by Golden Gate Capital. Sean has held roles of increasing responsibility at Life Technologies, GE Medical Systems, and Merck & Co.  He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Brown University.

Chief People Officer

Ms. Sellers has served as our Chief People Officer since July 2020. Prior to joining Nalu, Ms. Sellers served as Vice President of Human Resources at Vertiflex, Inc. from September 2017 to May 2020. Ms. Sellers served as Director of Human Resources at GenMark Diagnostics, Inc. from June 2016 to September 2017. Prior to that, Ms. Sellers served as Director of Human Resources at Volcano Corporation from January 2014 to June 2016, and held a number of roles at Hewlett-Packard, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Guidant Corporation from June 2001 to September 2014. Ms. Sellers received a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Irvine and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University.

Michael D. Tutera
Chief Access & Evidence Officer

Mr. Tutera has been with Nalu since November 2022. Prior to joining Nalu, Mr. Tutera served from 2019 to 2022 as Global Vice President, Market Access and Reimbursement, at Intersect ENT, Inc., a publicly-traded medical device and drug delivery company. Intersect was acquired by Medtronic in May of 2022. Prior to Intersect, Mr. Tutera served as US Head of Market Access at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from 2015 to 2019. Mr. Tutera began his healthcare career at Forest Laboratories, now AbbVie, where he assumed roles of increasing responsibility over a 15 year tenure including US Area Director of Market Access, Director of Market Access Training and Leadership Development, and various roles in Sales and Sales Leadership. Mr. Tutera received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Prabodh Mathur
Chief Technical Officer

Prabodh Mathur is an accomplished medical device executive with more than 25 years of experience driving innovation in Class III therapeutic technologies. He most recently served as Chief Product Development Officer at Axonics Modulation Technologies (Axonics Therapy), where he led the development of advanced neuromodulation systems and helped scale the organization during a period of rapid growth. Throughout his career, Mr. Mathur has led cross-functional teams through all phases of product development—from early-stage concept to successful commercialization—bringing transformative solutions to market. He has also held key leadership roles at Boston Scientific, Vessix Vascular, Cardiac Science, and Medstone International, overseeing R&D and engineering efforts across a range of implantable and interventional platforms. Mr. Mathur holds a B.S. in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and an M.S. in Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Vice President, Operations

Mr. Timm has served as our Vice President of Operations since November 2022. He previously served as the Vice President of Operations and Development at Vertiflex (acquired by Boston Scientific) from 2015 to 2021, as the Vice President of R&D at Alphatec Spine and Applied spine from 2004 to 2014, and in various R&D roles at Interpore Cross and Biomet from 1997 to 2004. Mr. Timm received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Chelsea Gutierrez
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance

Ms. Gutierrez has served as our Vice President of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance since August 2021. Ms. Gutierrez previously held a number of leadership roles in regulatory and quality at Ceremed, Inc. from 2008 to 2021; her most recent position was Executive Vice President. Ms. Gutierrez previously worked for Bioplate, Burton Medical, and Paragon Medsystems. She received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Dave Meyer
Vice President, Sales

Mr. Meyer has served as our Vice President of Sales since January 2025. Mr. Meyer previously held the role of Area Vice President – West for Nalu since December 2020. From 2005 to 2020, Mr. Meyer held various executive leadership roles at both Medtronic PLC and Abbott Laboratories.  Mr. Meyer has extensive Neuromodulation experience, working in the pain neurostimulation industry for over 25 years in sales and sales leadership positions. He received a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing from California State University Fresno.

Patrick Martin
Vice President, Clinical Affairs

Mr. Martin has served as our Vice President of Clinical Affairs since May 2021. He previously served as Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for Mirabilis Medica from to December 2013 to October 2020. Mr. Martin also worked at SonoSite, LipoSonix, Integrated Diagnostics, and SONUS Pharmaceuticals in various clinical affairs, education, marketing, technical support, and luminary management positions from 1997 to 2013. He received a B.S. in Diagnostic Ultrasound from Seattle University and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School.
